Barbie Forteza renews contract with GMA Network: 'Wow, has it already been 12 years?'
Barbie Forteza remains loyal to the Kapuso family as she renewed her contract with GMA Network on Thursday, Nov. 18.
This marks Barbie's 12th year as a Kapuso.
"I feel kind of old," Barbie told Kapuso reporters after her signing. "Kanina narinig ko sabi ng host 12 years, parang 'yun yung edad ko nung pumasok ako sa GMA. Ang tagal na pala."
"Kasi para sa 'kin in-enjoy ko lang eh," she added. "Nag-enjoy lang ako sa buong journey, so parang nagulat ako. Wow, has it already been 12 years?"
The actress officially made her television debut in the 2009 drama "Stairway to Heaven." She was just 12 years old at the time.
Right now, the 24-year-old star is gearing up for a Christmas special on "Wish Ko Lang." She said she'll be portraying a character with an identity disorder.
"To be honest, I was given a short period to prepare because thankfully, I've been busy with work din talaga, pero grabe sobrang saya. I had so much fun working sa taping noon, and sobrang na-enjoy ko 'yung characters ko," she said.
She revealed she also wants to portray a serial killer one day.
"It doesn't have to be now, syempre kailangan dahan-dahan lang, pero isa yan sa dream kong ma-portray someday, serial killer," she added.
In her 12-year career in showbiz, Barbie has portrayed many iconic roles, such as Kara in "Kara Mia (2019)," Diana in "The Half Sisters" (2014), and Dowokan in "Tuos" (2016). — LA, GMA News
