OPM legend Heber Bartolome dies at 73

Filipino musician and OPM legend Heber Bartolome has passed away. He was 73.

In an interview on Super Radyo dzBB, his brother Jesse confirmed that he died on Monday night, and said his death was sudden.

"Biglaan, masaya pa kami nung birthday niya eh... noong nakaraang Tuesday," he said.

Jesse said that Heber had been suffering from prostate stones for over a year prior to his death.

He added that Heber didn't die of COVID-19, so they will hold a burial.

Heber Bartolome was a Filipino folk singer and songwriter. He was the founder of the band Banyuhay and was known for songs like "Almusal," "Karaniwang Tao," and "Inutil Na Gising," among many others. —JCB, GMA News
