After Gina Alajar, Claire Castro wishes to be slapped by Cherie Gil

After going viral for having experienced Gina Alajar’s intense backhand slap on “Nagbabagang Luha,” Claire Castro said she would also want to be slapped by Cherie Gil in the near future.

In an online interview with the press on Wednesday, the Kapuso celeb said she idolizes the veteran actress and would consider the experience a blessing.

“Isa siya sa magagaling na kontrabida and it would be an honor na masampal ni Ms. Cherie Gil [She is one of the excellent antagonists and it would be an honor to be slapped by Ms. Cherie Gil],” Claire said.

When asked if she would rather be attacked or to slap a co-actor, Claire prefers the former.

“Mas masaya yung ikaw yung sinasampal kasi nagigising ka po [Being slapped is more fun since you get to wake up],” she said.

In the viral “Nagbabagang Luha” scene that trended earlier this month, Gina delivered an impromptu backhand slap that nobody in the set saw coming.

Aside from the backhand slap, Gina also dragged Claire away, shoved her face into a cake, and poured liquid into her head following the revelation of her character Cielo's treachery.

Despite all these being all painful, Claire said she enjoyed the scenes and considers it an honor.

"Nagbabagang Luha" is based on Ishmael Bernal's 1988 film of the same title, starring Lorna Tolentino, Alice Dixson, Gabby Concepcion, and Richard Gomez. — LA, GMA News
