Aiko Melendez gets emotional as she wraps up 'Prima Donnas' Season 2 taping

Aiko Melendez couldn’t help but get emotional after wrapping up her last scene for GMA-7’s “Prima Donnas” Season 2.

The actress just shared a video clip from a farewell ceremony where the director, Gina Alajar, shared a sweet parting message for Aiko.

"We are so happy na magaang kang kasama. We are so happy dahil nakasundo mo ang lahat pati mga bata. We are so happy, when you're on the set, you're so magaan," Direk Gina said on the microphone.

"When you're on the set, wala kang reklamo. Truly, totoo 'yan. Madali kang pakiusapan, madali kang namang sabihan na, 'One more shot, one more shot' and you're willing to do that," she added.

Direk Gina added that the cast and crew would love to work with Aiko again someday after “Prima Donnas.”

"Hanggang matapos ang 'Prima Donnas,' ikaw ay palagi naming kasama in spirit. And your memories will remain with us, and we hope to see you soon, we hope to work with you again,” she said.

Aiko could be seen crying while she listened to the touching message.

She also got to express her gratitude to her “Prima Donnas” family, especially Direk Gina who she said became a “mother” to her.

"First of all, I'd like to thank everyone from the cast down to the crew, and the director who I'll miss so much," she said.

“Because [Gina] became my mother here, especially when my father died, you were there for me."

Aiko’s stepfather, Dan Castaneda, died of COVID-19 in February this year.
