What you need to know about upcoming news-magazine show 'Dapat Alam Mo!'
News-magazine show "Dapat Alam Mo" is coming and it's going to be one that will blow its viewers' minds not just with news but anything under the sun.
Hosted by none other than Emil Sumangil, Kim Atienza, and Patricia Tumulak, "Dapat Alam Mo" will give a new take on all things trending and newsworthy, according to senior program manager Mon Torres.
From tackling news and issues in the country and around the world from Emil, Patricia will then take on the role of giving light to lighter features that involve lifestyle and entertainment.
Kuya Kim, meanwhile, is in-charge of giving trivia and all things that will tap the human interest. He is the Philippines' walking encyclopedia, after all.
Emil said that unlike other news programs, "Dapat Alam Mo" will mostly give its viewers good vibes. It also has a bonus segment that focuses on public service for the Filipinos.
"Ibang klaseng atake, porma, estilo ng balita na hindi maghahatid ng lalong pagkabagot, lungkot o inis sa ating mga kababayan sa gitna ng pandemya," he said.
("It has a different attack, form, and style on delivering news that will not bring more boredom, sadness and irritability to our countrymen while we're in the middle of a pandemic.")
Patricia agreed, saying that viewers will surely have a smile on their faces after watching.
"We're here for a purpose and the purpose is going to be good," Kuya Kim said. "[We were gathered] to be able to give joy, useful information, and good vibes [to the viewers]."
"Malinis ang kalooban ng hosts. Walang pang-sariling interes. Ito ay for God and country [The hosts have pure hearts. We're doing this not for our own interests. It's for God and country]," Emil said.
"Dapat Alam Mo" will premiere on GTV on October 18.
