LJ Reyes visits Philippine Consulate General in NYC, registers for overseas voting, teases new project

LJ Reyes had an eventful visit to the Philippine Consulate General in New York City.

Posting photos on Instagram, the Kapuso actress disclosed having met Deputy Consul General Arman Talbo General and teased an "exciting project ahead!"

More pressing perhaps was LJ's testament to registering for overseas voting.

"It is never too late to exercise your right to vote even when you’re abroad! Walk-ins are now accepted under limited capacity," she wrote, encouraging her followers to do the same.

On its IG stories, the Philippine Consulate General in New York reposted LJ's photo and thanked her for registering for overseas voting.

LJ is currently in New York, where she flew together with her children Aki and Summer following her breakup with Paolo Contis.

Shortly after LJ's tearful confirmation of their split, Paolo took to Instagram to apologize to LJ, clear his "A Faraway Land" co-star Yen Santos of any involvement in the breakup, and admit to a third party throughout their relationship.

LJ has trying to get over the messy separation and seems to be successful in doing so. She created a splash as she attended the New York Fashion Week in stylish ensembles, cut her hair to a new bob, continued to paint the town red, and now, she's doing something for the greater good.

As the deadline for voter's registration draws closer, many celebrities have taken to social media to urge everyone to register.

There was Pia Wurtzbach who registered in Abu Dhabi, in case she won't be in the Philippines come election day, Bea Alonzo who reactivated her voter's registeration. Meanwhile, Barbie Forteza began lining up at 4am just to become a registered voter, while Bianca Umali lined up for 13 hours.
