Bianca Umali is now a registered voter after lining up for 13 hours
Bianca Umali is now a registered voter after enduring 13 gruelling hours in line!
The Kapuso actress shared the news on Instagram Monday, with joyful boomerang videos showing off her inked thumbs, followed by snaps she took during the whole process.
[“We started our day at 3am and it only ended at 4pm, when we’ve already finished everything. I am now a registered voter. My heart feels good.”]
In the caption, Bianca also took the time to remind everyone that voting is both a Filipino citizen’s right and responsibility.
[“Voting every election demonstrates our hope for a better future — not just for ourselves, but for the whole country. This is a right that we should fulfill. It is our responsibility as a Filipino.”]
Bianca was with her cousin Samantha, whom she is also very proud of for taking initiative.
Before ending her post, Bianca aired her hope at encouraging others to do their part.
“Sama-sama nating mahalin ang Pilipinas, bumoto tayo!” she wrote with the hashtags #RegisteredViter [sic], #ParaSaPilipinas and #PHElections2022.
Last week, Barbie Forteza also lined up for hours, starting at 4am, to register as a voter.
