Gabbi Garcia reveals which Kapuso stars are her biggest inspirations

Gabbi Garcia is now one of GMA’s brightest stars but, like many young girls, the Kapuso Millennial It Girl had been inspired to dream big — thanks to her showbiz heroes.

In an interview before her contract renewal on Thursday, Gabbi was asked who her ultimate “Kapuso inspiration” was.

“Number one would be, of course, si Ms. Marian Rivera,” she answered.

“I admire how down to earth she is. I admire that she really started talaga from the bottom and then now she’s a superstar, so now I admire how hard she worked for her status,” she added.

Gabbi shared that she also looks up to Kapuso actress — and fellow fashionista — Heart Evangelista.

“I love how she carries herself,” Gabbi said.

“She really inspired me to work on your imaging, and Miss Heart is really, like, an artist all in one — she really knows how to carry herself, she knows how to act, she knows how to present herself," she added.

Gabbi Garcia officially renewed her contract with GMA Artist Center on Thursday, September 24.

The 22-year-old actress, model, host, endorser, and recording artist has been a loyal Kapuso since her first big break on GMA’s “My Destiny” in 2014 and is known for her memorable performance as Sang’gre Alena in the iconic fantasy drama “Encantadia.”

Gabbi is about to star in GMA Public Affairs’ upcoming primetime series “Love You Stranger” alongside her off and on-screen sweetheart, Khalil Ramos.

She is a regular on GMA’s weekend variety show “All Out Sundays” and  hosts several shows including “IRL,” GMA News TV’s youth-oriented reality program; an online series called “Front-Seat Foodies,” and an awesome podcast called “Figure it Out” with Khalil.

This coming Saturday, (September 25) #Gablil will also star in “Regal Studio Presents: One Million Comments, Magjo-Jowa na Ako,” a telemovie that tells a charming love story about an online tutor who forms a deep, life-changing connection thanks to one viral social media post. —JCB, GMA News
