Gabbi Garcia not closing door on Miss Universe dream, just waiting for right time

Gabbi Garcia has not given up on her dream of becoming the next Miss Universe, but she's just waiting for the right time.

After renewing her contract with GMA Network on Thursday, the Kapuso actress, brand endorser and recording artist said she did not plan on entering the pageant world until she could give it her "200 percent."

Gabbi said she focused on acting projects and endorsements this year, so she put her beauty queen dream on hold.

"Kasi, now, I have so much on my plate," she told GMA News Online in a Zoom interview.

"I have so much in line for me, for my acting career, for my brand endorsements, so I guess I am not yet fully focused when it comes to pageantry."

So when exactly is the right time?

According to Gabbi, "the right time [to join Miss U] would be when I am 100 or 200 percent focused na 'yun lang talaga ang gagawin ko for a year."

"We'll see," she added.

"I'm not closing my doors. The dream is there. The desire is there, but let's just wait for the right time cause I really dont wanna enter the pageant world na I'm not 200 percent."

Speaking of dedication, Gabbi remains a loyal Kapuso after almost eight years!

The "Millennial It Girl," who is known for her alluring Filipina beauty and captivating talent, renewed her contract with GMA Artist Center on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

She is set to star in GMA Public Affairs mystery-primetime series "Love You Stranger" alongside her off and on-screen sweetheart, Khalil Ramos.

You can also catch #Gablil this Saturday, Sept. 25, on "Regal Studios Presents: One Million Comments, Magjo-Jowa na Ako," a telemovie that tells a charming love story about an online tutor who forms a deep, life-changing connection thanks to one viral social media post. – RC, GMA News
