‘Pusong Bato’ composer Renee ‘Alon’ dela Rosa passes away
Renee “Alon” dela Rosa, the composer of the OPM hit song “Pusong Bato,” has died. He was 61 years old.
His daughter, Justine dela Rosa, announced the sad news on Wednesday.
Justine did not disclose the cause of death, but in earlier posts she said her family struggled to look for a hospital that would admit Alon.
“Badly needed, private hospital with available room,” she posted on Tuesday.
“Or baka may kakilala po kayo na tao na marrefer nyo po sa amin. Please po need ma-admit sa ospital ng papa ko,” she added.
Speaking to GMA News Online, his son Ryan said Alon was brought to some 40 hospitals to seek help but none would admit him as hospitals were focused on treating COVID-19 patients. He passed away at around 7am on Wednesday morning. – RC/LA, GMA News
