Celebrities mourn the passing of Mahal


Celebrities took to social media to express their grief over the loss of Mahal.

On Instagram, AiAi Delas Alas shared an old video of Mahal that she appears to have taken, and said that she will miss her.

"Kanina hindi pa nag-sink in sakin na wala ka na pero nung pinanood ko 'to, ayan naiyak na ko," AiAi wrote.

 

 

 

She said that she thought it was "fake news" when she first heard about Mahal's death and that she was left stunned.

"Rest in peace Mahal," AiAi said. "Nawalan ako ng isang barkada sa industriya."

Kiray Celis also shared a few posts on Facebook upon hearing the news. At first, she seemed in denial, saying, "Wag po.. wag po.. wag naman sana.. sana hindi totoo. Wag po."

She later posted photos and videos, along with a heart-wrenching message.

 

"Sa liit na panahon na nakasama kita, ganun naman kalaki ang naibigay mong saya sa puso ko. Ayoko isipin.. ayoko tanggapin.. ayokong maniwala Ate Noeme, mahal na mahal kita. Sana hindi totoo ito," she said.

Benjamin Alves also posted a tribute on his Facebook.

 

"I will miss your laugh and your aura sa set: wala kang moment, kahit late na or pagod na tayo, na di ka naka-smile," he said.

"It was an honor to share a scene with you," he added. "We love you forever Ate Mahal!"

Ken Chan also posted a photo of him and Rita Daniela posing with Mahal.

"Maraming salamat sa pagpapasaya sa amin Ate Mahal," he said.

 

In an Instagram story, veteran actor Leo Martinez shared a photo from a memorable scene he shared with Mahal on "Owe My Love."

“Mamimiss ka namin mahal,” he wrote.

 


Winwyn Marquez also shared fond memories with Mahal on set, together with a heartfelt caption.

“Ate Mahal sobrang sakit. Bakit? I love you so much,” Winwyn wrote.

 


 


“Our little ball of sunshine. Lagi kami pinapasmile lagi kami pinapatawa… ate mahal gusto kita ihug," he added.

Janice de Belen, who worked with Mahal in the classic horror comedy “Anak ni Janice,” reposted the iconic movie poster where she could be seen carrying the tiny actress.

 


“R.I.P. ‘Mahal’,” the actress captioned.

Mahal, whose real name is Noeme Tesorero, passed away on Tuesday. She was 46 years old.

Her US-based sister Irene Tesorero confirmed to GMA News Online that the actress died of "gastro" and COVID-19. —with reports from Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
