Kris Aquino commemorates Ninoy death anniversary with a short tribute

Kris Aquino took to Instagram to pay tribute to her father on the eve of his death anniversary.

Posting a short video, Kris began by saying Ninoy Aquino was the first "who truly believed your baby could be a star."

She promised to uphold the values they taught her and hold her ground amid all the criticisms thrown their way.

"Patuloy man nilang ibato ang lahat ng walang kwentang paninira sa pamilya natin, hindi ako papayag na matibag - because my hero instilled real strength in me," she said.

In the caption of her post, Kris defended her choice of adding a video of Shopee's ecommerce ad, saying she was really supposed to read a letter on cam for her father and her brother, but she fell ill once again.

"I've had a bad case of sinusitis and sumunod na young sore throat and laryngitis," she explained.

"May utang pa akong tribute for Benigno S. Aquino Jr. and Benigno S. Aquino III," Kris wrote.

"You will all get to view my thoughts and feelings in the way na hindi ako mapapahiya sa kanila," she said. "Until then, marring salamat sa patuloy na respite at pagmamahal."
