Sharon Cuneta in quarantine after returning from US: 'Going through so much, please pray for me'
Sharon Cuneta is back in the Philippines after spending almost three months in the US.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the Megastar said she arrived in Manila last week and went straight from the airport to a hotel for a 10-day quarantine.
Sharon shared photos from her room, which was decorated with "welcome home" banners and flowers prepared by her kids and her husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan.
She wrote a lengthy caption about how she missed her family, and how sad she was not to be able to see them even though they lived close by.
"Same building as our home, but in the other half where the hotel is. I cannot even see high up to our balcony where I wished yesterday that I would be able to even just see my babies and Kiko waving at me," Sharon wrote.
Sharon said she was "going through so much, so please pray for me."
"Kahit talaga anong tino ng pamumuhay mo, magkakaroon ka pa rin ng problema. Pero mabait ang Panginoon (No matter how decent you live your life, you will always get problems. But the Lord is kind)," she said. "He has never let me down, and so I have lifted everything up to Him and I trust in Him completely."
Sharon, however, ended her message on a happy note, saying she was going back to work soon and that being greeted by her children's artworks made her happy.
"Lilipas din lahat ito! Itong nasa pictures na ito po ang sumalubong sa akin pagpasok ko sa hotel room ko pagdating ko from the airport! Pampasaya talaga ng puso ("This will all pass! These [drawings] in the picture were what greeted me when I entered my hotel room. They make my heart so happy)," she wrote.
"I’m home everyone! I’ve missed you all and am gonna get back to work soon," she added.
Last May, Sharon announced on social media that she was leaving the Philippines to “breathe, collect myself and gain strength.” She also shared photos of her tearful goodbye to her family.
The singer-actress later revealed that she was going to take part in a Hollywood film, but had to let go of the opportunity after she received a “false positive” COVID-19 test result.
