Kylie Padilla shuts down rumors that she's involved with JM de Guzman: 'We're just friends'

Kylie Padilla has responded to accusations that she was the one who had a supposed “third party” that led to her split with Aljur Abrenica.

According to a report by Pep.ph, the actress denied the rumors by replying to a comment on her Instagram post that suggested that she had many suitors lined up including JM de Guzman, among others.

“Totoo po ba na kaya mo iniwan si Aljur dahil high maintenance ka po at 'di afford ni Aljur luho mo? Tapos po maraming mayayaman ang nanliligaw sa 'yo, pati mga artista at isa doon si [JM de Guzman]? 'Yon po kasi ang sabi ni Xian Gaza, e. Salamat po,” the full comment read.

[Is it true that Aljur was the one who left you because he couldn't afford your luxurious lifestyle? And that you have many wealthy suitors lined up, some of whom are celebrities including JM de Guzman? That's what Xian Gaza said. Thank you.]

Kylie responded to the comment, saying: "Magkaibigan lang kami ni JM (JM and I are just friends). This is not true."

The comment appears to have been deleted as of Friday morning.

Netizens and showbiz reporters have been airing speculations about Kylie and Aljur’s marriage problems after Kylie’s father, Robin Padilla, confirmed their breakup last week.

Kylie has since issued an official statement on the matter, which mentioned that she and Aljur have adapted a co-parenting set-up for their two sons Alas and Axl.

Meanwhile, Aljur’s “Nerisa” co-star Cindy Miranda has also denied rumors that she was the actor’s supposed “third party.” —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
