Is Chinito Hearthrob David Licauco ready to take on sexy roles?

The 27-year-old Kapuso actor, entrepreneur and model answered the question at an online media conference after renewing his contract with GMA Network on Wednesday.

“[I don't have] restrictions,” David told entertainment reporters in a mix of Filipino and English.

“As long as my managers would see that it's okay for my career, and if they believe that's okay for me, because I trust them, I would do it," he added.

However, David clarified that he was not planning to focus on doing sexy roles any time soon.

“But right now, I hope to maximize my youth first,” the actor said.

“I'll  be cute for a while. Maybe in, like, a few years I can do sexy. Show it all,” he added with a laugh.

David Licauco renewed his contract with GMA Network on Wednesday, July 7.

In his four years as a Kapuso, the Filipino-Chinese actor, entrepreneur and model captivated viewers with his appearances in several GMA television shows.

He has also established himself as an endearing leading man on GMA-7’s well-loved rom-com “Heartful Cafe,” which just aired its final episode last month. —JCB, GMA News
