Alden Richards rates his body a 5 out of 10

Hundreds of thousands of netizens were super amazed by Alden Richards' recent shirtless pics on Instagram, but the actor himself would only give his current body a 5 out of 10.

While playing a "rate yourself" game on "Unang Hirit," Alden said he still has much to improve on when it comes to his physique.

"Sa ngayon, parang nasa five pa lang (I'm at five for now)," he said. "Kailangan mas higitan pa natin 'yung nakikita nating result kasi syempre para walang relaxation period (We need to keep improving the results we have because, of course, there is no relaxation period)."

He added that it's really more for "self improvement" and so he can keep showing something new.

Alden also gave himself a modest score as a concert performer.

"Actually po kasi talaga, pagdating sa dancing and singing, feeling ko nandun lang ako sa 'pwede na' eh (Actually, when it comes to dancing and singing, I feel like I'm only 'so so')," he said.

"Hindi naman hindi marunong, hindi naman din sobrang galing, so baka nasa 3 or 4 lang din tayo diyan (It's not that I'm bad, but I'm not really good either. So we're only at three or four there)," he added.

Nevertheless, Alden enjoys singing and dancing because of his fans.

"Kasi kumbaga nadiscover ko rin po yung enjoyment ng pagsayaw at pagkanta at pagperform ng concert really because... para po sa mga fans. Kasi para kumbaga its a way of giving them entertainment (I really also discovered the enjoyment of singing and performing at concerts because... it's for the fans. It's giving them entertainment)," he said.

"Sobrang happy po talaga ako pagdating po sa ganyan and it gives me more motivation para gumawa ng mga ganong klaseng projects para sa kanila (I'm very happy when it comes to that, and it gives me more motivation to do similar projects for them in the future)," he added.

Despite his humble self-critique, Alden's virtual reality concert was sold out last December. Alden had also earned the title of Sexiest Man in the Philippines for two consecutive years.

The award-winning Kapuso actor currently stars in GMA's new primetime drama "The World Between Us" alongside Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Tom Rodriguez. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
