Jasmine Curtis-Smith cries during ‘The World Between Us’ virtual fan event

Jasmine Curtis-Smith suddenly burst into tears during the virtual fan event of the cast of the upcoming series “The World Between Us.”

According to Nelson Canlas’ “24 Oras” report Wednesday, Jasmine, Alden Richards, and Tom Rodriguez bonded with fans from all over the world during the event organized by GMA Pinoy TV.

Apart from talking and playing games with their fans, the actors were surprised with video messages from their loved ones.

Jasmine got emotional when she saw her mom Carmen, who was in Australia, and watched her video message.

“[Be] happier. I love you, Jasmine,” Carmen said.

“I miss my mom so much. We haven’t spoken in like two weeks. Thank you for the surprise,” Jasmine said, crying.

On her Instagram stories, Jasmine said it had been a year since she visited her mom.

“I miss visiting, hugging you and eating your sinigang, lugaw, and adoba. I need your love already, mama,” she wrote, tagging Carmen.

On Mother’s Day, Jasmine greeted her mom by recreating her groovy outfit.

“The World Between Us” is Alden and Jasmine’s second team up after their successful show “I Can See You: Love on The Balcony” last year.
