Celebrities mourn the death of PNoy

Celebrities joined the rest of the Philippines in mourning the passing of former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.

PNoy died on Thursday morning. According to a statement read by his sister Pinoy Aquino Abellada on Thursday afternoon, PNoy was pronounced dead at 6:30am due to renal disease secondary to diabetes. He was 61 years old.

On their respective social media accounts, celebrities paid tribute to the former  President, dedicating posts and expressing their sadness. Among them were Dingdong Dantes, Liz Uy, Kris Bernal, Chynna Ortaleza, and Heart Evangelista, among others.

Aquino is the 15th president of the Philippines from 2010 to 2016. He is the son of late President Corazon Aquino and slain senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. — LA, GMA News
