This is Alden Richards' biggest challenge in the upcoming romantic drama 'The World Between Us'
Alden Richards said he is set to give his "good boy" role a different flavor in the upcoming GMA-7 show "The World Between Us" with Jasmine Curtis-Smith as his leading lady.
"Basically Louie is a stereotype of a good boy," Alden told GMA News Online.
"For the longest time that I've been in the industry, puro ganon yung role ko. The thing about it is, I have to consciously create a different take and a different flavor for a good boy na kasi puro good boy 'yung role ko lately," he added, admitting he's developed a certain default when tackling good boy characters.
According to Alden, it is "obligation and my task to differentiate [Louie] from all the other good boys I've done before."
That's his challenge he takes on this new role, Alden said.
"Para hindi naman nila masabi na 'nakita ko na yan kay Alden before.' It’s a conscious effort for me, for the writers as well, na para maiba yung flavor naman. Para bago naman," he said.
Alden is paired with Kapuso actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith who will play Lia Libradilla.
"The World Between Us" is their second team up after the success of "I Can See You: Love on The Balcony" last year.
Other stars who are also in the show include veteran actors Tom Rodriguez, Dina Bonnevie, Jaclyn Jose, and Sid Lucero, beauty queen Kelley Day, and actress Alyanna Asistio.
According to its director, Dominic Zapata, the show is based on the 1847 novel by Emily Brontë "Wuthering Heights." — LA, GMA News
