Kiray Celis slams body-shamers after posting daring photo: 'Can't I be proud of my own body?'
Kiray Celis was all confidence when she posted photos of herself slaying it in a daring top on Instagram.
When bashers took to leaving insults in the comments section, the actress was quick to put her foot down.
In a new Instagram post, Kiray shared another photo from the same shoot and said that just because she posts "something sexy" doesn't mean that she wants to be disrespected.
"Hindi ba pwedeng proud ako sa sarili kong katawan?! Proud akong flat ako?! Proud ako sa self-confidence ko?! (Can't I be proud of my own body? Proud that I'm flat? Proud of my self-confidence)," she wrote.
"Hindi ko na kasalanan kung may mag bash, manira, manlait, mambastos. Kaya kung anong comment niyo, nagrereflect lang yun kung sino kayo bilang tao (It's no longer my fault if people bash, drag, insult, or disrespect. So whatever your comment is, just reflect on what kind of person you are)," she added.
In the photos in question, Kiray wore a wrap-around halter top that bared her stomach.
She seemed to be thanking certain brands by modeling products that they have sent her.
Her fans meanwhile flooded the comments section with words of support, encouraging her to keep her chin up.
This isn't the first time that Kiray has spoken up about body-shaming.
Back in May, she shared a photo of herself wearing a bikini by the pool.
"Stop body shaming, for sure you also wouldn't want to see or hear bad comments about your body," Kiray wrote in Filipino. "Stop insulting others. Let's be proud of what and who we are." —JCB, GMA News
