Shalala and Kuya Germs played the very first Pinoy Henyo on 'Eat Bulaga'
Before Pinoy Henyo became the iconic game popularized by Eat Bulaga, the late comedian Shalala and starmaker German "Kuya Germs" Moreno were the very first ones to play it out on the noontime show.
In a 2014 "Tunay na Buhay" episode, Shalala shared that he and Kuya Germs were the very first to play the Pinoy Henyo game on Eat Bulaga.
He soon found out that that episode had one of the highest ratings, especially since he and Kuya Germs made a lot of people laugh.
"Because Kuya Germs and I were fighting, Tito Sotto, Bossing and Tito Joey were laughing so hard," Shalala said in Filipino.
After much commotion, the two found out that the word they were simply trying to guess was "pillow."
Shalala shared that ever since he became the co-host of Kuya Germs on his late night show "Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman," a lot of doors openedfor him.
On Wednesday morning, comedian and TV host Shalala passed away at the age of 61 after battling pulmonary tuberculosis.
Shalala, Carmelito M. Reyes in real life, was born January 21, 1960.
He is well-known in the entertainment industry as "Shalala," a name given to him by Kuya Germs himself.
He is known to bring laughter through his TV programs such as GMA-7's "Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman" and "Tweet Biz," and films such as “Ang Darling Kong Aswang” (2009), “Agimat at Enteng Kabisote” (2010), “My House Husband: Ikaw Na” (2011), and “Echosering Frog” (2014).
His brother, Anthony Reyes, also called on our generosity to help with Shalala's medical expenses. People can send donations to:
