Ryzza Mae Dizon reveals hilarious reason why she looked sad after winning Little Miss Philippines

After her 16th birthday, Ryzza Mae Dizon looked back at her most iconic moments over the years, including the day she won Little Miss Philippines in 2012.

That fateful win launched her career as one of the country's youngest television hosts, but why did Ryzza look a little sad when she was being crowned the winner?

In an interview with GMA-7's "Unang Hirit," Ryzza revealed that she actually thought she lost because her name wasn't called.

“Parang nagulat po ako na, parang di ako masaya," the host said, referring to her facial expression.

[I was shocked and I did not look happy.]

"Kasi po 'yung pagkakaintindi ko po doon, 'yung tatawagin is 'yung winner. Eh hindi po tinawag 'yung winner akala ko po talo po ako, pero panalo po pala ako."

[That's because, to my understanding at the time, they would call the name of the winner. And they didn't call me. So I thought I lost when I actually won.]

Aww! Can you imagine TV over the years without "Aling Maliit" dancing to "Cha-Cha-Rap" and making hilarious jokes on "Eat Bulaga"?
