Heart Evangelista to people who think she's all privilege: 'Pinagtrabahuhan ko po 'to'

Heart Evangelista just shared a powerful message to people who have been putting her down for being "privileged."

In an Instagram Live Tuesday, the Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaboration was inspired by a netizen who was saving up for a new laptop, so she gave him some advice: "You can do it! You know, if you want something, nothing is impossible."

Heart then addressed how some people might react negatively to her comment, given her celebrity status.

"I mean, I know you guys look at me and [say]: 'Ah kasi ganito, ganyan.' No dear. Pinagtrabauhan ko po 'to," she said.

[I mean, I know you guys look at me and [say]: 'Ah it's because this and that... No dear, I worked hard for this.]

Heart admitted her parents supported when she was young, but that was only until she was around 20 or 21.

"Hindi ako umasa sa magulang ko... Well only up to a certain time," Heart said.

[I only depended on my parents up to a certain time.]

"I had allowance 'til I was like 20, 21, pero nung nag-away na kami, they cut my allowance. Nawaley! It got difficult, so I worked," she explained in a mix of Filipino and English.

As she has shared in her previous interviews, Heart has been supporting herself independently after having a big disagreement with her parents.

She pursued a career in showbiz and experienced hardships even then, but she recently shared how those struggles have made her “stronger” and led up to the success she had to today.

Apart from being an actress and TV host, Heart is now a world-renowned style icon, artist, endorser, entrepreneur, and content creator.
