Pokwang confirmed to star in 'Pepito Manaloto,' 'Wish Ko Lang' as new Kapuso

Pokwang has officially joined the GMA family, and it looks like she's starting off her Kapuso journey with a bang.

In an interview with GMA reporters on Friday, the actress, television host, and comedienne confirmed that she will be part of the upcoming season of "Pepito Manaloto."

"That's what I really wanted to do, to go back to comedy," Pokwang told veteran showbiz reporter Lhar Santiago in Filipino.

"I'm very happy that what I expected actually came true," she added.

Pokwang will also be part of the month-long 19th anniversary celebration of GMA-7's drama anthology "Wish Ko Lang" kicking off this July.

On July 3, Pokwang will star in the first special episode that follows the inspiring story of Virgie, who has dedicated her life to being a Filipino teacher and later becomes the principal of her school.

Joining her will be Jeric Gonzales and Arra San Agustin, who posted some sweet welcome messages for their co-star on Instagram.

Pokwang officially became a Kapuso after signing a contract with GMA Artist Center on Friday.

Aside from "Pepito Manaloto" and "Wish Ko Lang," Pokwang is also expected to make a guest appearance on the "The Boobay and Tekla Show," and is looking forward to exploring talk shows with the Kapuso network.
