Here's why Andrea Torres is excited for a possible sitcom with John Lloyd Cruz

The internet was abuzz when Willie Revillame mentioned planning a possible sitcom starring Andrea Torres, John Lloyd Cruz, and himself.

Apart from John Lloyd's possible return to regular TV programming — and the strange history swirling between Andrea and John Lloyd — Andrea has another major reason for her excitement.

In an interview with "Unang Hirit" Wednesday, Andrea revealed she's never done a sitcom ever in her life, so should this project push through, it will mark a sweet first for her.   

"Sobrang natutuwa ako kasi never din ako nakagawa ng sitcom. I'm sure magiging fun 'yun," Andrea said smiling.

"I'm a John Lloyd fan," she added in Tagalog. "I've watched a lot of his movies, so let's see."

John Lloyd took a four-year hiatus from showbiz and finally made a return to TV earlier this month, guesting on Willie Revillame's midyear Shopee special.

Should the sitcom push through, it will also be Willie's comeback to the television format after 20 years.

In the meantime, Andrea is gearing up for the big premiere of "The Legal Wives." — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
