Kim Rodriguez, kagawad neighbor argue over parking
Kim Rodriguez got into an argument with her neighbor over parking, according to a “24 Oras Weekend” report.
In Jonathan Andal’s story, Sunday, the Kapuso artist said she moved her car when told to do so by her neighbor, barangay kagawad Ronald Ortiz, but was upset by men lingering outside her home during the incident.
[The one-side parking was on the side where their house is. The rear of my vehicle was blocking his home by some inches, but I moved it because I knew it was blocking the way.]
[When I moved the car, he was able to go in, and I parked it again. The kagawad said, 'Remove your vehicle, remove it.'"]
According to Rodriguez, she asked Ortiz if she could park there since he was already able to pass through because the parking in their street is hard.
[I asked if I could park there because parking is difficult in or area, especially on our street.]
The actress also said she became frightened of some men lingering outside her house.
[Before the police and the barangay authorities came, he called on some men on motorcycles who started circling, walking in front of our house, like they were watching our house.]
“Natatakot ako [kasi] dalawa lang kami ron,” she added.
[I was afraid because it was just the two of us there. I didn't know what to do because I was so scared. I couldn't sleep last night.]
Ortiz, meanwhile, said he didn’t call the police, but he called the barangay and asked for a tow truck, but at past 10 p.m. it was after office hours for the tow truck so the police came over to monitor the situation.
He also denied that the men outside the house were loitering.
“Wala pong umaaligid.
Rodriguez said she was also told not to get emotional and play the actress card, which made her feel “offended.”
According to the Chairwoman of Barangay Concepcion Dos in Marikina, Mary Jane Zubiri-Dela Rosa, the two neighbors had a priori disagreement.
“May mga pangyayari before na kinatakot din ni Kagawad Ronnie doon sa mga kaibigan ni Ms. Kim kaya mas gusto niya may pulis pero kung titingnan mo yung sitwasyon, talagang overkill,” she said.
Zubiri-Dela Rosa added that the two parties have already had an “amicable settlement” that Rodriguez will not block the driveway anymore.
With this, Rodriguez and Ortiz are hoping that they won’t get into a similar issue again.
[I salute you too. I hope we will be all right over the matter.]
