Maris Racal after confirming relationship with Rico Blanco: ‘Age is just a number’

Looks like Maris Racal has a message to everyone amid her reported confirmation of her relationship with Rico Blanco.

On Monday evening, the actress posted on her Instagram stories a photo of a cake, which read: “Age is just a number.”

This post comes after netizens reacted to the couple’s 24-year age gap. Maris is turning 25 years old in September, while Rico is currently 48.

"Rico Blanco and Maris Racal announced that they are in a relationship. 25 years age gap!!! Leeteuk, Heechul, Hangeng, Yesung and 11 others humans na kayo," one tweet read, while another called on "Kim Bum, Jung Hae In +99 others to be ready with me." 

"If Maris can date Rico Blanco, I want to date Ben Barnes din," another Twitter user continued, while @h2formikaonly_ echoed what Maris said: "Age doesn't matter."    

Maris first teased their relationship in March, when she posted a sweet duet of theirs to mark Rico’s birthday. 

Maris has previously been in a relationship with Iñigo Pascual until 2019. Rico, meanwhile, dated KC Concepcion more than a decade ago. They have no reported relationships since. — Franchesca Viernes/LA, GMA News
