Willie Revillame planning a sitcom with John Lloyd Cruz and Andrea Torres

John Lloyd Cruz isn't just appearing in the 6.6 Shopee Mega Fiesta Special as Willie Revillame's special guest — that we can all watch on GMA-7 Sunday, mind.

The actor, who is making a return to TV after four years, is also reportedly doing a sitcom that Willie is planning.

What more, Andrea Torres is also reportedly joining the cast.  

According to a report on PEP.ph, Willie not only sough help and approval from GMA executives Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Atty. Felipe Gozon, he also sought clearance from ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak for said appearances of John Lloyd. 

"Pinayagan na si John Lloyd ni Sir Carlo na magtrabaho sa production ko dahil magpa-partner kami sa isang project with the help of Miss Annette Gozon-Valdes," Willie told PEP.ph's Cabinet Files.

“Kinausap ko si Sir Carlo para ipagpaalam si John Lloyd at napakabait niya. Pinayagan niya si John Lloyd sa pinaplano namin na sitcom, kasama si Andrea Torres," he added.

Willie also expressed his thanks to "Ma’am Annette at Atty. Felipe Gozon dahil pumayag sila na mag-guest si John Lloyd sa Shopee event sa June 6."

Willie's Wil Production will be the blocktimer producer of the Shopee event on June 6.

Should the sitcom push through, it will also be Willie's comeback to the television format after 20 long years.

Andrea Torres reacts

Meanwhile, Andrea Torres told PEP.ph's Gorgy Rula via text she had no idea what's going on since she is in a locked-in taping for "Legal Wives."

“Ngayon ko lang po nalaman. Wala pa pong official na sinabi sa akin ang manager ko po. Nakakatuwa naman po. If ever, it would be a great honor. He is a brilliant actor and I am a fan," Andrea said.

Andrea also expressed her gratitude to Willie for considering her for the project.

"I’m sure enjoy po gawin ang project na yun. I would also like to express my gratitude to Kuya Willie Revillame for considering me for the project," he said.

Andrea is the ex-girlfriend of Kapuso actor Derek Ramsay who is now in a relationship with Ellen Adarna, the mother of John Lloyd's son Elias. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
