Marjorie Barretto hits back at Julia's bashers: 'There's a limit... I'll tell the truth'

Marjorie Barretto just sent a powerful message to those who continuously criticize her daughter, Julia.

In Tony Gonzaga's new vlog episode entitled 'Why public opinion and bashers don't matter to Marjorie," the former actress opened up about a certain individual who keeps targeting Julia in light of recent issues about her personal life.

“Julia has been through so much issues since she was 16, and she can really handle herself naman. She’s very strong. But sometimes, it is so frustrating when you know the truth," Marjorie said.

"I wanna remind that person that always hits on my daughter, ‘Buhay pa nanay niya, ha. Buhay na buhay ako. You better know when to stop'," she added.

Marjorie went on to say that "bashers don't count," and that she can always "tell the truth" at a certain point

"To be honest, this is not addressed to them (bashers) because, just block and delete and they're out of our lives," she said.

“It’s when these people who continuously tries to paint a really ugly picture of my daughter — I think they just have to be reminded that there is, may hangganan. I can be nice, I can be quiet. But when I do talk, I’ll tell the truth."

However, Marjorie believes Julia takes after her mom when it comes to "keeping quiet" when accusations are thrown against her.

"Ako naman, I tell her, 'Just say when, I'll talk' pero ayaw niya eh. Sabi niya, 'No, no, mom, it's okay'," Marjorie said.

"Feeling niya she can still handle it eh. But I think she also saw that in me. She saw that in me na kahit ano nang ina-accuse sa akin, I just keep quiet, ou know? I let things just... Nakikita niya 'yun sa akin, kaya siguro ganun siya," she added.

Julia Barretto's personal life has been a hot topic online even before she and actor Gerald Anderson confirmed they were in a romantic relationship.

The Baretto family is also no stranger to controversy, especially since Marjorie and her sisters Gretchen and Claudine had a widely-publicized scuffle at their father's funeral in 2019.
