Steve Harvey will not be hosting the Miss Universe 2020 coronation event

Steve Harvey will be missing the 69th Miss Universe Coronation event happening in May. In his place are Mario Lopez and Olivia Culpo.

The organization announced the new hosts on social media, and on Twitter, Steve replied saying "I'll see you for the 70th!"

Steve hosted the 2015 Miss Universe edition during which he mistakenly announced Miss Columbia as the winner and corrected himself a few minutes later, saying our own Pia Wurtzbach was the real winner.

Since then, he became something of a mainstay, hosting the pageant.

The Miss Universe 2020 coronation event will take place in the U.S. on May 17 (Philippine time). Rabiya Mateo will represent the Philippines. — LA, GMA News
