Dingdong Dantes launches tech-solutions start-up Dingdong PH

Dingdong Dantes on Monday officially launched his tech-solutions start-up Dingdong PH.

In a virtual press conference on Monday, the Kapuso Primetime King said Dingdong PH aims to provide innovative business solutions to different kinds of entrepreneurs amid the pandemic, with the mission "to be there for our fellow entrepreneurs."

"We want to enable and empower home and community-based entrepreneurs by not only helping them in efficiently delivering meticulously prepared products through 'Professional Malasakit' but also by providing them technology solutions that will simplify and future-proof their business operations."

He would like Dingdong PH "to be of service sa ating business community through our various offerings," he added.

Dingdong PH is a platform with three services including delivery, e-commerce, and marketplace.

The Dingdong Delivery is a web- and app-based pick-up and delivery tool which can be used for both on-demand and pre-booked deliveries.

The service provides user-friendly tools that allow real-time management of riders with tracking data on its delivery status, estimated times, traffic, and rider location.

There are homegrown Dingdong riders to do this.

The Dingdong E-Commerce service meanwhile aims to enable entrepreneurs to promote and sell their products in an online marketplace. It has user-friendly tools that automate the management of products, inventory, and orders.

This specific service will also allow businesses to "aggregate with other merchants in a unified digital marketplace."

Dingdong E-Commerce also provides auxiliary training in general business topics like branding, accounting, taxes, and product-specific topics.

Finally, the Dingdong Marketplace, is a service that "empowers merchants and SMEs with an easy and comprehensive e-commerce and delivery service."

According to Dingdong, the new platform aims to fill "business gaps that I myself as a businessman has experienced."

What sets Dingdong PH apart, Dingdong said, is their "Professional Malasakit."

"Ultimately, this is not a transactional thing for us. It's more of a relational thing," the actor said, boasting his platform is human-centric, a business feature they'd like to strengthen as Dingdong PH grows bigger.

In a separate interview with GMA News Online, Dingdong said the term "Professional Malasakit" was coined after he experienced delivering for Marian Rivera's Flora Vida customers.

Aside from the fact that demands for delivery have increased, Dingdong realized how important it is for entrepreneurs to have their packages handled with utmost care until it arrives to its recipient.

"Na-realize ko, what if meron kang isang napakahalagang package na ibigay sa customer mo? Nililigawan mo man yan, magulang mo pero hindi mo ma-control 'yung quality ng pakete," he said.

"I realized ang elemento pala kung bakit mo siya dapat gusto alagaan ay dahil, una meron kang respeto sa taong gumawa. 'Yun yung na-experience ko kay Marian, because I respect her bilang isang entrepreneur, hindi nga bilang asawa muna," he added.

Dingdong PH has been built in partnership with leading software enterprise company PLDT-backed, Multisys Technologies Corporation led by David Almirol Jr. — LA, GMA News
