Blackpink's Rose's solo debut release sets K-Pop solo artist record on Spotify
Blackpink's Rosé's solo debut album is already making waves!
According to Soompi, her agency YG Entertainment proudly shared that her lead single "On the Ground" debuted at No. 8 on Spotify's Global Top 50 chart for March 12, just a day after Rosé dropped her solo single album "R."
The figures are staggering, Soompi said. In the first 24 hours, "On the Ground" earned 3,252,615 streams while the b-side track, "Gone" took the 11th spot with 2,945,783 streams.
Soompi noted that "On The Ground" has the most streams achieved in 24 hours by a Korean solo artist on Spotify.
Additionally, the report said "On the Ground" also reached no. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 51 regions.
Meanwhile, its music video gathered over 39 million views just 24 hours after it was launched.
Rosé will also be performing "On The Ground" on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on March 16.
