Gabby Concepcion is excited about how relationships are portrayed in 'First Yaya'
Gabby Concepcion said his upcoming GMA-7 teleserye 'First Yaya' with leading lady Sanya Lopez depicts the reality that people can fall in love with each other, no matter their status in life.
Gabby is excited about how "First Yaya" portrays relationships.
"Actually it's all about relationships. Pag nag-click kayo, talagang wala kang magagawa, kahit may intriga pa ayun," he said.
Aside from relationships, Gabby said their series will also be showcasing what a president or someone in a high position goes through in his personal life.
"Dito ma-poportray yung buhay ng presidente na ganito lang ang buhay. Simple lang sila pero ang tingin natin sa kanila iba. Parang hindi pwede magkamali, pero nagkakamali rin," he said.
Meanwhile, returning veteran actress Pilar Pilapil who will be portraying Blesilda Acosta, the mother of Gabby's character Glenn who is against Yaya Melody (Sanya Lopez) and Glenn's relationship, said people will be able to take a lesson or two from her character.
"My role is a very good lesson probably to those families, those aristocratic families kasi 'etong role ko dito, I'm a very aristocratic mother, very manipulative, very protective, and controlling. I'm the mother of the president here, si Glenn, and she's very much against Melody whom her son fell in love with," she explained.
"So ngayon, it's also a good lesson for them to realize that there's such a thing as equality amongst people, especially among Filipinos," she added.
Agreeing to what Gabby said about the irrelevance of your status in life when it comes to love, Pilar said "this is also a very good show to be able to depict, to be able to show the public that as Gabby said, you can really fall in love with anyone whether it's a maid or somebody out there."
"Because even in my family, there has been a situation wherein the boss or the son of my uncle or the son of my aunt fell in love with a maid. And all that, nangyayari ito." she added.
Pilar said she thinks these kinds of relationships "should be considered as something more natural and normal rather than abnormal."
"First Yaya',' starring Sanya in the title role, will premiere on March 15, 2021 on GMA Network's Telebabad lineup replacing Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday. — LA, GMA News
