Arjo Atayde to guest on ‘Daddy’s Gurl’ for Maine Mendoza’s birthday episode

Arjo Atayde is Maine Mendoza’s special guest on “Daddy’s Gurl” for her birthday episode on March 6.

According to Arjo, this is one of his gifts for the Phenomenal Star who is about to celebrate her birthday on the first week of March.

“I’m happy na I got to work with her again and it’s for her birthday so it’s extra special to me and (I’m) building memories with her,” he said.

“This is all just memories together that we’re building and I’m very happy. Hindi ko ma-explain,” he added.

Since this would be Arjo’s first sitcom appearance, Maine said he worried about his acting.

“Nakakatawa kasi nag-uusap kami, sinasabi niya sa’kin na medyo kinakabahan siya. Sinasabi ko ‘ano ka ba, kaya mo ’yan.’ Nadeliver naman. Best actor,” she said.

This is their first project together since they became a couple.

“First time po namin magkatrabaho was sa ‘Jack Em Popoy’ po. First time po namin magkakatrabaho na kami na po talaga,” Arjo said.

“First time din namin mag-meet don sa movie, sa ‘Jack Em Popoy’ two years ago,” Maine said.

For her upcoming birthday, Arjo said his remaining gifts would continue to be a “surprise.”

“Lagi kasi may paandar ’yan as in lagi. ’Di niya pwede sabihin dito kasi malalaman ko,” Maine said.

The couple shared that they spent Valentine’s Day with their families, but made sure to have dinner the day after.
