5 things you didn’t know about Khalil Ramos

We all know Khalil Ramos as one-half of the Gablil love team. He's Gabbi Garcia's boyfriend, the super hardworking, one-man prod team behind her vlogs.

He's been in showbiz many years already, but as Gabbi mentioned in "Tunay na Buhay," Khalil is quite the mysterious guy.

In the Wednesday episode of “Tunay na Buhay,” his family and friends dished out a few more things about the actor we may not know about.

1. He is a noisy and supportive kuya

Born on January 22, 1996 in Parañaque City, Khalil serves as an older brother to Samuel Ramos, who is seven years younger than him.

“Khalil, as a brother, is super noisy. Super siyang makulit in the house and everywhere he goes, even in public places as long as I’m there,” Samuel said.

“Ako lagi pina-pagtripan niya but he’s a very supportive brother in everything I do,” Samuel added.

According to Khalil, “It became more fun with my brother. Nagkaroon ng ibang dynamic.

2. He started performing at five years old

Though he's quite adept at production and off-cam work, Khalil is pretty comfortable performing on-cam, too.

His very first performance in front of a large crowd, Khalil shared, was at five years old, during their kindergarten graduation.

“My teachers no'n, they saw how I really liked singing, performing and entertaining people. I love telling stories through this medium,” he said.

His musically inclined father, Joselito, even taught him how to set up an AVR system between 8 to 10 years old.

3. His boxing scenes were real in “Kid Kulafu”

Years after her showbiz career began, he was cast in “Kid Kulafu” where he played Eugene Barutag, a promising boxer and Manny Pacquiao’s friend.

Not known to many, their scenes in the film were actually real.

“When we were shooting, we were actually landing and taking punches. It wasn’t cheated at all. We worked with real boxers pero sila, naka-alalay (lang) sa suntok namin,” Khalil revealed.

4. He is a CEO of a production company

In 2016, Khalil along with a few business partners, put up “Limitless Productions,” a production company specializing in audio-visual communication and content conceptualization.

According to Khalil, he wanted to take the “extra mile” to learn the visual art of storytelling - not just an actor, but also as a part of those behind the scenes."

“Khalil is very dedicated and very passionate towards film [and] photography. I also genuinely believe that he has the eye for it because not everybody is born with [the] kind of artistic view that he has,” said Gil Cuerva, Khalil’s friend.

Some of their works include Gabbi Garcia’s “All I Need” music video.

5. He collects vintage cameras

As someone who loves photography, Khalil cannot simply shy away from the fascination of film where it all started.

The oldest model that the Kapuso actor shared with everyone was from 1972, followed by a DSLR made in 1981.

He also has three cameras and a couple lenses which he use for work purposes. — Franchesca Viernes/LA, GMA News
