Nora Aunor takes on kontrabida role, vlogging in 2021

2021 is Nora Aunor's year of new endeavors as she takes on new roles online and on the big screen.

According to Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Nora will star in the film "Kontrabida," where she will portray an actress who plays an antagonist role.

This is the first time the Superstar is going to play a kontrabida in her 50-year run in the industry.

The veteran actress considers "Kontrabida" a challenge for herself and her tribute to the talented actors who usually play these roles.

Directed by Adolf Alix Jr., the film will also star Gina Alajar, Jaclyn Jose, Rosanna Roces and Bembol Roco.

Meanwhile, Nora has also ventured into vlogging, revealing that she had long wanted to pursue it for her supporters.

"Gusto kong magkaroon ng pamamaraan na makausap 'yung fans, mga Noranians sa mundo, so pumayag ako magkaroon ng [channel]," she said.

Her "Bilangin Ang Bituin Sa Langit" co-star Joel Palencia helped her start her vlog, which now has 26,000 subscribers just two months after posting the first video. —Franchesca Viernes/MGP, GMA News
