Pia Wurtzbach reveals she thought about having breast reduction surgery

Pia Wurtzbach is known for being "confidently beautiful," but even she's not immune to being insecure about her body.

The Miss Universe 2015 titleholder answered fan questions on Instagram this week, and revealed that she reached the point where she thought about having breast reduction surgery.

“I mean honestly, siyempre noong bata pa ako, na-insecure talaga ako sa katawan ko, especially dito (dibdib) kasi siyempre inaasar ako sa school, ganyan, nahihiya ako. Pero as I got older, I learned how to be more confident," she said.

Thankfully, Pia changed her mind about the procedure that would have left her with "scars."

“There was a time when I was much younger na I was thinking about it but then hindi ko siya tinuloy kasi nalaman ko na malaki 'yung mga scars na maiiwan niya. So, buti na lang," she said.

A fan also asked Pia if she really had a 23 or 24-inch waist, which she flat-out denied.

“Hindi ko kaya 'yun. Wala, honestly, I'm nowhere near that," she said.

Pia's revelations appear to have inspired a lot of people, because the beauty queen posted another story to send love to netizens who were able to relate to her body-positive story.

“I think this is the first time I openly talked about it at marami palang naka-relate! Thank you for your messages! Be proud of your bodies and don’t let your insecurities get to you,” she wrote.

Pia Wurtzbach was named Miss Universe 2015 in an unforgettable crowning moment in Los Vegas, Nevada.
