New ‘Anak ni Waray vs Anak ni Biday’ episodes to portray pre-pandemic times

The director of “Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday” has shared that the series’ new episodes will revolve around a time when there is no pandemic.

“May eksenang tinanggal ’yung pandemic ‘look.’ May eksena doon na may taxi. Diba ngayon may plastic cover? Pinatanggal namin,” said Mark Sicat dela Cruz during a press conference on Thursday.

The director, however, assured the public that he didn’t let the actors simply film inside the taxi.

“Safety purposes, ’di ko pinasakay ’yung artista. Revelation ’yung eksena na ’yun,” he said.

“Pakita sa audience na matanggal man lang sa utak nila na may pandemya.”

Barbie Forteza, one of the series’ lead actresses, agreed that portraying the new episodes that way could be good for the viewers.

“Entertainment is an escape sa mga nangyayari sa totoong buhay,” said Barbie. “Good point naman on our director’s part.”

Barbie, along with the other cast members of “Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday,” went on a lock-in taping in September.

The series will recap episodes Monday and release new ones starting Feb. 8. – RC, GMA News
