Royette Padilla, brother of Robin and BB Gandanghari, dies at 58

Royette Padilla, the brother of actors Robin and BB Gandanghari, has died. He was 58.

Their sister, Rebecca Padilla, announced the news on Facebook, Saturday.

“Please whisper a prayer for our brother Royette Padilla. A silent prayer for his eternal peace, please,” she wrote.

According to a PEP.ph report, Royette died due to a heart attack.

He made his last public post on Christmas Eve, when he shared a photo of himself with his mother, Eva Cariño, saying it was the happiest Christmas he ever had.

“This is my happiest Christmas because the most wonderful mom Mama Eva in the world has fully recovered from her illness and beautiful again as ever! Merry Christmas everyone and to all your loved ones and specially to all my friends here in FB,” he said.

Royette, who dabbled in acting, made headlines in the 1990s when he claimed to be a “brigadier general” for a group called H-World United Nations Philippine Military Government International Police Commission. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
