Glaiza De Castro, Rayver Cruz to star in new drama series 'Nagbabagang Luha'

Glaiza De Castro and Rayver Cruz are set to star in upcoming Kapuso drama series "Nagbabagang Luha."

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," the new show is an adaptation of the 80s classic film of the same title, which was directed by Ishmael Bernal.

Glaiza will take the role of Maita originally played by Lorna Tolentino, while Rayver will follow Gabby Concepcion in portraying the character of Alex.

"S'yempre nandun 'yung feeling na malaking responsibilidad kasi kahit papaano na-familiarize naman na kami doon sa pelikula at nakita namin 'yung performances nila Ms. Lorna so parang, 'Shocks kailangan talagang todohin,'" said the newly-engaged actress.

Rayver, meanwhile, is looking forward to act opposite Glaiza for the first time.

"Si Glaiza lagi akong kasama 'yan sa [All-Out Sundays] pero iba kasi, ngayon palang kami mag-wo-work sa isang soap so excited ako," he said.

The series also stars Mike Tan and Claire Castro who will play Bien and Cielo, characters previously brought to life by Richard Gomez and Alice Dixson.

Myrtle Sarrosa will also appear as a new character who will introduce another layer of conflict in the show.
