‘Alter Me’: Enchong Dee says Jasmine Curtis-Smith helped him develop his escort role further

Enchong Dee has talked about his leading lady Jasmine Curtis-Smith and his male escort role on the upcoming Netflix film “Alter Me.”

“Alter Me” follows the story of human resources manager Aimee (Jasmine) who seeks the mentorship of escort Uno (Enchong) to better connect with other people and her own emotions. Uno later opens up Aimee’s heart to unexpected feelings.

Enchong said he was able to develop his character Uno further when he started doing scenes with Jasmine.

“Nadadagdagan mo ’yung personality ng character. I was worried about that because I know that (production company) Ten17P, they have a good standard when it comes to their film,” he told GMA News Online during a roundtable interview via Zoom. 

The actor also said that with the guidance of their film director RC delos Reyes and writer Danno Mariquit, he was able to portray Uno “in such a way na he’s charming but at the same time nakakainis because this is something that a lot of guys go through.”

During the same interview, Jasmine also revealed how she and Enchong were able to shoot their intimate scenes for the film comfortably.

“I think at the beginning of our shooting, sila direk was very particular and very careful with the intimate scenes, with the naked scenes,” said the actor.

As a professional swimmer, however, Enchong said he was comfortable showing some skin “because for the past 15 years I’ve been doing this wearing trunks, wearing swimwear in front of a lot of people.”

“Alter Me” will premiere Nov. 15 on Netflix across Asia. – RC, GMA News
