‘Alter Me’: Jasmine Curtis-Smith says Enchong Dee made her feel comfortable during steamy scenes

Jasmine Curtis-Smith has revealed how she and Enchong Dee were able to do their intimate scenes comfortably for upcoming Netflix film “Alter Me.”

In a roundtable interview with the press on Tuesday, Jasmine said despite having daring and steamy scenes, she felt comfortable doing them.

“I think what helped a lot kapag kaya mong i-process with everyone that will be part of the scene from the lighting to the DOP, to the director, if lahat kayo mag-uusap, it makes it less awkward or nakakailang for anyone,” she said.

Jasmine said it helped that she knew her role and the actions she had to perform for the scenes.

She also said doing such scenes with Enchong was easy.

“What did he do to make me feel comfortable, just be himself really because he’s really good at making people feel comfortable by just letting you be also at the same time, and I think that helps a lot,” she shared.

“Alter Me” director RC delos Reyes said Enchong and Jasmine were their first options for the film.

“When we made the story talagang inisip na namin sino kayang maganda yung i-partner dito, and since this is my first time to do a film na medyo intimate na may pagka-sexy, we wanted na ’yung i-cast is someone na hindi mo ine-expect na gagawin,” said RC.

“Alter Me” follows the story of human resources manager Aimee (Jasmine) who seeks the mentorship of escort Uno (Enchong) to better connect with other people and her own emotions. Uno later opens up Aimee’s heart to unexpected feelings.

The film will premiere Nov. 15 on Netflix across Asia.
