What the 'Prima Donnas' cast miss about Sofia Pablo

Due to her age, Sofia Pablo could not join the lock-in taping for fresh episodes of GMA afternoon prime series "Prima Donnas."

While her character Len Len is still a part of the show, as Director Gina Alajar previously said, the 14-year-old actress was not qualified to return to work per safety protocols.

In Zoom interview with entertainment reporters on Friday, Direk Gina and other "Prima Donnas" stars revealed what they miss the most about Sofia.

"She's basically a very sweet kid," said Direk Gina about the young actress. "She goes out of her way to show na sweet siya, na gusto ka niyang kausapin, na gusto niyang maglambing sa 'yo."

"She will text, 'I miss you Direk,' 'yung ganyan. Hindi lang sa akin niya ginagawa, I think before Prima Donnas pa yata, she and Aiko are textmates already," she added.

Direk Gina said she likes it when Sofia, with her calm voice, invites her to do a TikTok video, but she is more impressed with the teen's dedication to learning her craft.

"She wants to be a good actress eh. So nandun palagi 'yung, 'Tama po ba 'yung ginagawa ko?'" she said. "It's not asking for approval, but it is asking for help, it's asking, 'Teach me how to do it and I will do it.'"

Elijah Alejo, who plays Brianna, said that she misses Sofia herself and their bonding times on set despite the animosity between their characters in "Prima Donnas."

"Nami-miss ko po siyang ka-eksena. Nakaka-miss rin po palang kasabunutan si Sophie," she said, and then quipped: "Hindi man po halata, pero mas masakit pa po siya manabunot sa akin."

Althea Ablan, meanwhile, said she misses Sofia's playfulness. The two of them, together with Jillian Ward, play the Claveria sisters in the show.

"Si Sophie super friendly siya, hindi siya mahirap pakisamahan. And ang nami-miss ko sa kanya is 'yung mangungulit siya sa 'yo, mangangalabit siya, mag-aaya manood ng movie, kumain," she said.

"Prima Donnas" will return to air with fresh episodes on Monday. —MGP, GMA News
