Gabbi Garcia says her new youth-oriented show ‘IRL’ will tackle lifestyle, social issues
Gabbi Garcia’s newest GMA News TV youth-oriented show “IRL (In Real Life)” will not just discuss lifestyle topics but will also touch on some serious societal issues.
“May angle siya both ng mga, kasi nga ’yung tagline ni IRL is we can really talk about anything, so when it comes to social issues, we can tackle on that as long as wala tayong tinatapakan na mga tao,” Gabbi told GMA News Online.
“We’re good to tackle that [societal issues], but also we can tackle lifestyle especially nowadays ang bigat na ng pandemic, so we want people to feel relaxed and happy by watching this show. So it’s a little mix of everything,” she said.
During the interview with the entertainment press, Gabbi said IRL is “a safe space for Gen Z and millennials” to talk about anything under the sun.
Gabbi said she is aware that it is “kind of a big responsibility, especially ngayong age ng social media. Ang daming ka-age ko na naghahanap ng safe space ng kausap about these certain topics so I feel responsible for it.”
IRL is a youth-oriented reality program where millennials and Gen Zs hang out and share their thoughts, as they make their voices heard on things that matter to them—love, music, sports, fashion, travels, gaming, and everything else inside and outside of their digital world.
The show is set to air on GMA News TV every Thursday at 9:15 p.m. starting Nov. 12.
For the first episode, Gabbi will have her boyfriend, new Kapuso star Khalil Ramos as her guest. – RC, GMA News
