Mikee Quintos hopes to lose weight, wear fashionable ensembles on ‘The Lost Recipe’

For her character Apple on the upcoming series “The Lost Recipe,” Mikee Quintos has shared some details she wishes to work on.

A fan of Korean dramas, the actress said she would like to have the same “consistency” shown in those shows, from the cinematography to the characters’ fashionable outfits and ensembles.

“If you watch K-dramas, ’yung mga cinematography nila per show, it’s very consistent and ultimo mga outfits, mga looks, ’yung ayos ng buhok ng mga artista nila, ’yung consistency nila doon, ang ganda and ’yun yung, well, compared to my other shows before, ’yun ’yung gusto kong bigyan ng extra work for myself din,” Mikee told GMA News Online.

Mikee will play a young and aspiring chef who works hard to achieve her dreams in the competitive culinary scene.

She also said she was planning to lose weight, “para mas madaling bagayan pero ’yung damitan ko dito, parang gusto ko siyang bigyan ng extra effort more than before.”

According to Mikee, their show is about the youth, which is also their target audience. Being young herself, she says having over the top OOTDs will help make her character Apple a remarkable one.

“Feeling ko that’s gonna somehow help. Parang gusto ko maging malamig sa mata ’yung pagnunuod nila ultimo outfits pag ganon,” Mikee said.

Mikee will be paired up with Kelvin Miranda, who will portray an owner of a chain of restaurants. He previously appeared on Kapuso drama “Madrasta” and the 2019 Netflix film “Dead Kids.”

Mikee, meanwhile, played Lira on the “Encantadia” remake and appeared on “Onanay” and “The Gift.”

This will be the first time Mikee and Kelvin will be starring in a show together.

In a report on “24 Oras” last week, the two expressed their surprise and excitement after learning about their new roles.

“The Lost Recipe” will premiere on GMA News TV in January 2021. – RC, GMA News
