’Prima Donnas’ stars Aiko Melendez, Althea Ablan, Elijah Alejo back on set

It’s official: The all-star cast of “Prima Donnas” have started to film fresh new episodes of the hit afternoon soap.

Recent behind-the-scenes photos shared by GMA Pinoy TV showed some of the lead stars, including Aiko Melendez, back on set to shoot some scenes.

Althea Ablan and Elijah Alejo, who were sporting twin face shields and face shields on set, also posed for a fun pic.

"Prima Donnas" said goodbye to Sofia Pablo who played Len Len on the show.

According to GMA Entertainment’s statement last week, 14-year-old Sofia was to comply with guidelines set by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on the engagement or participation of a child below 15 years of age during the implementation of community quarantine.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas on "24 Oras," Sofia admitted to feeling sad about the turn of events. 

"“Nakakaiyak po kasi parang ’di po ako nakapagpaalam sa buong PD family na ’di ko po alam na ’yun ’yung last taping day, na umuwi ako na masaya, excited pa sa next taping day kasi mangyayari mas sobrang intense na,” Sofia said.

Meanwhile, preparations for the program’s resumption of taping continue with the production strictly following the safety protocols and guidelines mandated by the government. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
