Ken Chan looks back at lessons learned from late mentor Kuya Germs

Ken Chan shared some life lessons he's learned from his late mentor Master Showman German "Kuya Germs" Moreno.

In a virtual interview with the press for his role as "The Clash Season 3" Journey host shared one of the best things he learned from Kuya Germs.

"Kung gusto mo talagang maging artista, sabi niya sa kin 'wag mong papangaraping maging sikat. Dapat i-alis mo 'yun sa utak mo," Ken told members of the press.

"As long as magpapaligaya ka ng mga tao through your talent, doon po tuloy-tuloy lang 'yun. 'Wag kang bibitaw sa mga pangarap mo, basta alisin mo lang sa isip mo yung maging sikat ka," he continued.

It's a piece of advice that Ken carries with him until now, and it's one that he plans to pay forward to newbies, rookies, and those dreaming to enter show business.

"Kasi once na 'yun 'yung tumatak sa isip mo, hindi mo maabot yung pangarap mo," he added.

Ken is among the lucky Kapuso actors, who received guidance from the late great Kuya Germs. When he was still alive, the beloved veteran treated Ken like own child.

Kuya Germs passed away in 2016 due to cardiac arrest. He was 82.

"The Clash Season 3" is set to debut on September 26. Rayver Cruz and Julie Anne San Jose, who were also present at the virtual press even, will serve as The Clash Masters for this season.

Meanwhile, Lani Misalucha, Christian Bautista, and Ai-Ai Delas Alas will continue as judges. — LA, GMA News
