Dingdong Dantes, Jennylyn Mercado offer snappy salute as 'Descendants of the Sun' wraps up taping

Dingdong Dantes and Jennylyn Mercado bid their farewells on social media after finishing the tapings for the Philippine adaptation of "Descendants of the Sun."

On Instagram, Friday, the on-screen partners posted photos of their script reading for Lucas and Maxine's last scene with director Dominic Zapata.

Jennylyn gave her thanks to the director and Dingdong for keeping her motivated during the closed group shoot and to the crew for making it possible.

"I have nothing but love and gratitude," the actress said.

She also expressed her appreciation to the frontliners who continue to battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

"Hats off rin sa ating modern-day heroes, our frontliners who served as my inspiration para gampanan ang role ko bilang Dra. Maxine," Jennylyn said.

Dingdong, meanwhile, thanked Jennylyn for an "excellent and effective performance."
