Kyline Alcantara canceled grand 18th birthday celebration due to pandemic

Kyline Alcantara went on a trip with family and close friends for her 18th birthday on Thursday, but she revealed that it wasn’t the original plan.

During a media conference on Friday, the actress said she was supposed to have a grand debut celebration.

“Nakapag-book na ako sa hotel,” she said. “Last year pa lang alam ko na theme ng birthday ko, nakapag-meeting na, nakapag-down payment na.”

When the pandemic hit the country early this year, Kyline thought things would change by September.

“Akala ko hindi siya aabot ng September. Akala ko pag September matutuloy pa rin,” she said.

However, when she realized it wasn’t going to be the case, the actress said she simply accepted it and moved forward.

“I just accepted it na wala akong magagawa,” Kyline said. “Hindi na ako nagbaling ng negative emotion doon kasi kung ikokompara sa ating mundo sa birthday ko parang wala namang birthday ko. In-accept ko na lang na hindi siya matutuloy.”

Although her plans for this year were cancelled, the actress said they’re hoping to reschedule in the future. – RC, GMA News
