Marvel actors pay tribute to co-star Chadwick Boseman


Fans and celebrities alike came together online to mourn the death of beloved "Black Panther" actor Chadwick Boseman.

Among those who paid tribute to Chadwick were his Marvel co-stars.

In a tweet, Chris Evans, who played the role of Captain America, wrote, " I’m absolutely devastated. This is beyond heartbreaking."

 

 

 

"Chadwick was special. A true original. He was a deeply committed and constantly curious artist. He had so much amazing work still left to create. I’m endlessly grateful for our friendship. Rest in power, King," he added.

"Hulk" actor Mark Ruffalo and "Captain Marvel" star Brie Larson also expressed their grief, sharing that it was such an honor to be able to work with Chadwick and keep the memories they have of him.

 

 

 

Sharing a photo of herself with Chadwick, Brie wrote that the "Black Panther" actor will "be missed and never forgotten."

 

 

 

 

Mark tweeted, "All I have to say is the tragedies amassing this year have only been made more profound by the loss of #ChadwickBoseman. What a man, and what an immense talent. Brother, you were one of the all time greats and your greatness was only beginning."

Sterling K. Brown, Chadwick's co-actor during the "Black Panther" film,  couldn't thank the late actor enough for everything he did while he was still alive.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, "Guardians of the Galaxy" stars Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista mourned for Chadwick, sharing the famous line from his film, #WakandaForever.

 

 

 

 

 

 

"War Machine" Don Cheadle also expressed how much he will miss Chadwick. "You were always light and love to me," he said.

 

 

 

Chadwick passed away in his home after battling against colon cancer for four years.

According to an official statement on Twitter, he was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer in 2016 and has since progressed to Stage 4 over the past four years.

Since his role in "Black Panther", he has starred in "21 Bridges" as Andre Davis, "Da 5 Bloods" as Stormin' Norman. He also joined the cast of "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom" as Levee.

He was supposed to reprise his role as Black Panther in the sequel movie slated for 2022. —JCB, GMA News
